Is "your local" actually your local?
My nearest pub is a Hungry Horse chain pub literally over the road from me, which you can all imagine is pretty sterile. The pub I regularly go to is a good twenty minute walk from my gaff, yet I'd sooner do that twenty minute walk because the beer, the banter and the company is 100x better than a chain boozer. Even though it isn't by any means my local, I refer to it as "my local".
Many others on here have a regular pub they call "their local" that isn't by any means the most local pub to them?
