Twitter Gold: Watch Louisville’s Pat Kelsey Gin Up The Students On Campus

This should be pretty irresistible for fans.

Remember when Louisville hired Kenny Payne? He was one of their own and they loved him. The Louisville faithful were over the moon - until the wheels fell off and he was clearly a dreadful hire. The wheels fell off immediately. He got a second year but it didn’t get much better. He was gone and after that experience, no one was screaming about hiring someone from the family.

Enter Pat Kelsey.

He made an immediate impression with his immense energy and an optimistic outlook. He managed to put together a decent roster and, while it’s early, it appears they’ll at least be competitive. And that certainly wasn’t the case under Payne.

Back to the energy thing.

Check out this video of Kelsey walking around campus and asking the students if they’re coming to the game. More importantly, look how the students react to him.

He won the press conference, his team is playing hard and the fans are excited. No one knows how the Cards will do this season, but we’re pretty sure you can count on this: the kids will come back.
