I’m a proud cougar but women always overlook ‘short kings’ – they’re sweeter than tall men by far, , TAKEN WITH NO PERMISSION:, https://www.tiktok.com/@tara26000016/video/7431679114014231839?_r=1&_t=8rCq2FL8NCi

MANY Brits were left stunned after finding out Take That heartthrob Gary Barlow measures up to just 5ft 7in after a snap of him standing next to his tall son went viral recently.

But as far as one woman is concerned height isn’t everything, and loads of singletons could be missing out by not going for the “short kings”.

Short men like Gary Barlow are all he rage, as for as this dating whizz is concerned[/caption]

It’s the topic of many conversations of dating apps, as men proudly boast about their towering stature in their bios, and some have even been called out for lying about their true height in a bid to bag a date.

But focusing all your attention on the 6ft-somethings could be a grave mistake, self-confessed cougar Tara Gen said.

“Don’t overlook the short kings,” she said in a recent TikTok video.

“They are funny, they’re smart, and they’re so unbelievably sweet.”

Tara knows a thing or two about how great short men can be since her own dad was significantly shorter than her mum.

“The best thing she ever did was marry that man,” she added.

Plenty of celeb men are on the shorter side too, and you’ve probably got a crush on some of them.

Actors Tom Holland and Kit Harrington are both 5ft 8in, and Bruno Mars comes in at just 5ft 5in, for example.

After sharing the dating “mistake” men flooded the comment section of the viral video thanking her for defending them.

One said: “I’m a short king and I feel overlooked often, seriously though I am nice and love tall women! Tall blondes are my kryptonite.”

“I guess it looks like I still have a chance,” another bloke chimed in, “I’m probably the shortest king of all, I’m 4ft 11in but at least when I get a super car I can fit in it no problem at all.”

Although Tara, who is in her fifties, didn’t say if she had dated any short men she’s definitely no stranger to breaking relationship norms.

In the past she’s dated men younger than her sons, who are 30 and 24, and even has men begging to go out with her whenever she posts content on social media.

She also revealed she hates when younger men want her to be their “sugar cougar” and shower them in gifts, she revealed.

Because of this, the gran confessed she usually keeps her love of younger men “on the down low”, and even has to make sure she’s not friends with the parents of her romantic partners.

She explained she’s not looking for a husband and just wants to have fun with her young lovers.

This came after someone commented on a previous video and wrote: “For the young guys, just hit and run. These women are damaged goods.”

ut the gran had no time for haters and explained that she’s not looking for love.

In fact, it’s the men who keep chasing her.

“Strangely enough, I can’t get rid of them once I’ve dated them they won’t go away,” she said.

Tara explained she can tell if she’s going to hit it off with someone instantly, but they often get the wrong impression and she ends up having to break it off with them.

She confessed she doesn’t want to waste her time with someone she’s not compatible with, unlike the younger men she dates.

The blonde beauty is so popular online that she was even contacted by a casting company to appear on a reality show about cougar moms.

Though she’s received plenty of opportunities, it hasn’t always been sunshine and rainbows for her.

Since she’s become popular online, Tara has received inappropriate messages.

Among the worst are unsolicited naked photos, or men saying that they know where she lives and would come to assault her.

“I don’t think I’m controversial, so for them to go out of their way to be mean or rude is ridiculous.

“I’m really down to Earth and, at the end of the day, I’m all about my family,” she previously told The US Sun.

5 red flags that you’re dating a catfish

New data has revealed that 40 per cent of us know someone who has been catfished, while 22 per cent have fallen for catfish themselves.

April Davis, founder and president of LUMA Luxury Matchmaking, has shared five key ways you can catch a catfish.

1. You can’t find them online

Almost everyone has a social media presence – especially those who are willing to try dating apps. So if you can’t find them anywhere online, like a Facebook, Instagram or even LinkedIn account, this could be a major red flag.

April says: “If you’re suspicious, ask to add them on Facebook or Instagram. If they refuse or the account they send you looks new, that’s a red flag.”

2. Conversations got personal, quickly

Catfish are well known for ‘love-bombing,’ which is a form of emotional manipulation.

So, if the person you’re talking to immediately goes over the top with compliments, wants to communicate all the time, and makes statements like ‘I love you’ within a few days of speaking, it’s a big red flag.

3. They don’t open up

If someone is asking a lot of questions about you but is not willing to offer up much in return, this could be a catfish red flag.

This is because these scammers are, of course, not who they say they are and it can be hard for them to keep their lies straight.

As a result, most catfishes would rather not give out any personal info at all if they can help it.

4. They ask for money

Asking for money, no matter the reason, is a huge red flag.

Whether they want a bank transfer or your credit card number, catfishes have a wide range of sob stories to tell when it’s time to try to swindle you out of your cash.

5. They won’t show their face

Unsurprisingly, someone who doesn’t want to show who they are in a video call or real-time pictures could be a catfish.

The last thing a catfish wants is for you to see their real face because they usually steal pictures from someone else to use.

This means they are likely to refuse to send photos or do video calls.
