Holiday attractions you can visit in the Topeka area to win a $600 prize

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Some local Topeka organizations want to help get people in the holiday spirit this month by connecting them to fun events with the possibility of winning a prize valued at $600.

India Yarborough with the Greater Topeka Partnership (GTP) said Visit Topeka and AIM Strategies are partnering up to present locals with the chance to enjoy several special events and attractions this year leading up to the holidays. People who take part in this opportunity will also have a chance to win a prize package with a value of up to $600.

AIM Strategies and Visit Topeka are launching Topeka Jingle Days which brings together 11 local winter traditions and attractions. People are encouraged to grab a Jingle Days passport from the Topeka Welcome Center before visiting participating events such as:

  • Miracle on Kansas Avenue: Dec. 7.
  • Zoo Lights: Nov. 22 - Dec. 28.
  • CASA's Homes for the Holidays Tour: Nov. 23 - Nov. 24.
  • SLI Festival of Trees: Nov. 26 - Dec. 7.
  • The Game's Afoot: Holmes for the Holidays: Nov. 29 - Dec. 22.
  • Winter Wonderland, a Celebration of Light: Nov. 27 - Dec. 31.
  • The Nutcracker Ballet.
    • The Chocolate Nutcracker: Dec. 6.
    • Ballet Midwest: Dec. 13 - Dec. 15.
    • Kansas Ballet: Dec. 21 - Dec. 22.
  • Kready Holiday Spectacular: Nov. 30.
  • Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays: Nov. 15 - Nov. 17.
  • Santa Paws: Dec. 7.
  • Mistletoe Pop-Up at The Pennant: Dec. 4 - Jan. 5.

“Topeka has so much to offer each holiday season, and we want to help people in the area discover why we’re the ultimate winter holiday destination,” said Sean Dixon, Visit Topeka president. “Topeka Jingle Days was dreamed up in collaboration with our incredible local businesses and attractions. Show them some love this holiday season, while getting the family out and exploring all the festive fun our capital city has in store. Topeka has something for everyone.”

People can use their passports to keep track of the places they visit starting on Nov. 14 by collecting stamps. Those who visit at least seven of the participating events can be entered into the Topeka Jingle Days sweepstakes by turning over the completed passport to the welcome center at 719 South Kansas Avenue.

Yarborough said the Topeka Jingle Days prize includes a two-night stay for four at the Cyrus Hotel in downtown Topeka along with two dinners for four at restaurants owned by AIM Strategies. People have until January 10, 2025, to turn their passports in for a chance to win this prize. More information on Topeka Jingle Days can be found online by clicking here.
