Longines’ Mini DolceVita Gets a New Golden Dress

0

Longines is one of the most prominent names in the history of Swiss watchmaking. Since its founding in 1832, the brand with the winged hourglass in its logo has set standards across all fields and aspects of horology. Its collection includes robust diver’s and pilot’s watches, top-tier chronographs and calendar timepieces, distinguished dress watches, and – last but not least – refined ladies’ watches, whose perfect form has ensured that in the world of fine timepieces, elegance and Longines are spoken of in the same breath. Longines’ history of dedicated ladies’ timepieces goes as far back as the 19th century.

One of its most impressive examples is the DolceVita family, inspired by a legendary piece created in 1927. The dial is an Art-déco-inspired vision of refined elegance, set in a silvered rectangular face adorned with distinctive flinqué decoration. These delicate geometric motifs, embossed in relief, create a subtle guilloché effect, bringing depth and texture to the design. The bold blue Roman numerals and blued hands stand out beautifully against this intricate backdrop. A square sub-dial at 6 o’clock features a small seconds display, a detail that adds balance and symmetry to the dial’s classic layout.

Carrying forward its timeless heritage, the Mini DolceVita line, first introduced in 2023, makes an elegant return this year with four exquisite new models. For the first time, the collection includes versions crafted in 18-carat gold, elevating its allure and timeless charm. They are presented in the hallmark rectangular case in yellow or rose gold measuring 21.5mm x 29.0mm, which encloses the precise L178 quartz movement.

At the forefront of this new series, the standout models are elegantly set with 38 Top Wesselton diamonds. Each piece features a meticulously crafted 106-link bracelet in matching yellow or rose gold. Finely assembled in a staggered formation, the bracelet embraces the wrist with a graceful, supple fit, wedding luxurious style with comfort.

Exuding a refined minimalism, the two unset models embody understated elegance. Each is paired with a supple black leather strap, secured by a tongue buckle crafted in 18-carat yellow or rose gold to match the case’s hue.

The gold versions with a solid bracelet retail for $25,000, the variants with a leather strap are priced at $5,975
