Deer collisions spike in autumn: Finnish drivers warned to stay alert
As October and November bring heightened wildlife movement, Finnish roads are witnessing a seasonal spike in wildlife accidents, particularly involving white-tailed deer and roe deer. The Finnish insurance company Fennia reports that November alone averages over 60 wildlife collisions daily, making it one of the peak months for road accidents involving animals.
Last November saw nearly 2,000 wildlife collisions, according to Statistics Finland.
