It looks like the British retailer Marks & Spencer has dropped a new collection of party wear just in time for the festive season.

And there’s one dress that’s grabbing fashion fans’ attention – the Sequin V-Neck Midi Column Dress.

The dress comes in two gorgeous colours – a rich chocolate brown sequin style or a bold gold number.

The sultry dress shows enough skin to make it perfect for partying without being too revealing around your boss.

It also comes in an inclusive size range going from a size six to 24.

The dress features small shoulder pads to enhance curves and has hidden ruching panels along the waist to help hide the stomach.

M&S bosses say: “Ensure all eyes are on you in this shimmering sequin dress.”

“It’s designed in a regular fit, with a timeless column shape that falls to a flattering midi length.

“The sleeveless style is complete with a v-shaped neckline and added stretch for comfort. A slit at the front adds extra drama and makes for easy moving.”

The dress is becoming a hit online, becoming a trending item in the past 24 hours.

Those who have bought the dress already said it was just as gorgeous in person and gave it an average rating of five stars.

One person wrote: “Wasn’t sure about ordering initially as the brown colour isn’t something I’d normally go for but what a gorgeous dress!

“It fit like a glove – even though I would say it is more fitted than a column shape, but it does have a bit of side ruching too, so it disguises my lumps and bumps, and it is stretchy so not too clingy.

“Another point not mentioned in description is that it does have a bit of shoulder padding but it only added to the nice fit for me personally.”

Christmas Fashion Tips from an Expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, Fashion Editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.

AVOID: Christmas jumpers
No longer a novelty gag, they’re now gone back to being naff and have no place at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Jumper Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.

WEAR: Burgundy
You can’t escape burgundy at this time of year and it’s a luxury, deep and rich colour that is a welcome break from Santa-red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.

AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather trimmed co-ords has had its day and is so dated.
Don’t pull out your hair plucked pair this year, and don’t get a new set, instead still go for the satin two-piece but just steer clear of the plumes.

WEAR: Sequin Dress
Try to switch up sequins slightly by wearing them with a different texture or colour, eg a sequin skirt with a sleek knit.
But when you’re really stuck on what to wear reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.

AVOID: Sequin blazer
Nothing worse than showing up to a festive do looking like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and Strictly judges, instead always reach for a classic tux style or velvet.

WEAR: Bling trousers
Last party season embellished jeans with diamante bling had a moment, and this year they’re going to be as much of a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging off wherever you go then try metallic, PU trousers.

Another commented: “Very stylish and glitzy! Not worn it yet but it feels comfortable to wear and it is lined.

“It looks more expensive that the £59 price tag. It fits true to size.”

“Beautiful. My husband says I look like a Crunchie…and he loves Crunchies!” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Just had this sequin party dress delivered, although it looks nice when on and the colour is great a lovely rich brown it doesn’t say anything in the description about it having shoulder pads! “
