NATIONAL SUMMARY

Thunderstorms can bring flooding and hail to central Texas

today. Showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rain

will drench southern Georgia and the northern Florida

Peninsula with spotty showers as far north as central and

southern West Virginia, Virginia, southern Maryland and

central and southern Delaware. Showers will stretch west

into Kentucky, Tennessee and northern Mississippi, with even

a thunderstorm or two in the morning. Farther west, winter

will continue to make its appearance over the central and

southern Rockies. Snow will fall in central and southern

Colorado, with locally heavier snow in northern and central

New Mexico. Santa Ana winds in Southern California may cause

damage and disrupt travel. The West, northern Plains and

Midwest can expect a dry day.
