How safe is NYC, after more than a dozen senior leaders have stepped aside?

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- How safe is New York City after more than a dozen high-ranking members of the city administration have resigned or been fired since late summer, some of them targets of federal criminal investigations?

It's a question to which PIX-11 News sought answers from public safety leaders of the city.

They said that the city's systems of keeping New Yorkers secure from man-made threats, like terrorism, as well as natural disasters, are well intact.

Still, they, and an expert who literally wrote the book on how New York remains a terror target, caution that New Yorkers should never let their guard down.
