Opelousas Police investigate shooting of 17-year-old girl, suspect in custody

OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) - A shooting happened early Tuesday morning in Opelousas, authorities said.
It happened just before 2 a.m., when officers responded to a report of a 17-year-old girl at Opelousas General Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. She is listed in critical condition.
After locating the crime scene in the 500 block of Kim Drive, investigators identified Danger Johnson as the suspect. Officers spotted Johnson’s vehicle later that morning and conducted a traffic stop, arresting him without incident.
Johnson was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on four counts of attempted second degree murder.
Bond details were not released.
