India A vs Australia A 2024 2nd unofficial Test live streaming: When and where to watch IND-A vs AUS-A in India

India A will look to bounce back from their seven-wicket loss to Australia A last week when the two sides face off in the second unofficial Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from Thursday. The visiting side could blood Test batter KL Rahul and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel to prepare them for the upcoming five-match Test series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia beginning in Perth on November 22.

Rahul, who played the first Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru before being left out when Shubman Gill was fit, and reserve wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel left India ahead of the rest of the Test group in order to feature against Australia A to get some match practice.

Australian pacer Scott Boland is looking forward to the opportunity to bowl to KL Rahul before the Test matches. “I was lucky to bowl to him in a Test over in India a couple of years ago but it’ll be nice to play against him in our backyard. He’s a world-class player but someone I think we can get on top of pretty early and hopefully stay on top of him for the majority of the summer,” Boland was quoted as saying before the second unofficial Test.

Meanwhile, Nathan McSweeney is set to open the innings for Australia A against Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side. McSweeney, the Australia A captain, has never opened in first-class cricket but will partner Marcus Harris in a move that confirms they are the two frontrunners for the Test role against India.
