Kamala Harris: First woman vice president who fails to score a big first in US politics

Kamala Harris, of Indian and Jamaican heritage, was the Democratic party candidate for US President. She lost to Donald Trump. Harris served as the US Vice President under President Joe Biden. She was the first woman and first person of South Asian descent to hold this position. Harris had a successful career as a lawyer and politician.
