‘Survivor 47’ sneak peek video: Sol reveals why he saved Rachel’s life in the game [WATCH]
In this week’s “Survivor 47” sneak peek video for Episode 8 (watch above), Solomon “Sol” Yi reveals to the audience why he saved Rachel LaMont‘s life in the game last week when he gifted her the Safety Without Power advantage. “Genuinely, there is a connection there,” he explains in a private confessional. “And I’m working on building the SSAs: Sol’s Secret Agents.”
Interestingly enough, the 43-year-old medical device salesman from Norwalk, Connecticut hasn’t yet told the Rachel the truth about who sent her the secret parchment. But that could be something he’s planning on revealing to her in the future, when the timing is right.
The minute-long video begins with Gabe Ortis expressing his disappointment over Rachel getting to leave tribal council before the vote, because his former Tuku alliance was planning on sending her home. Instead, Tuku had to “cannibalize” each other, which resulted in Gabe receiving one vote and Tiyana Hallums getting the other four. “Tribal did not go good tonight,” says Gabe. “You know, Rachel is a very threatening player and I was very excited for her to leave tonight … So this was quite a disaster.”

While everyone is sitting around the camp fire, Rachel announces, “I gotta find my guardian angel in here. I don’t know who the hell sent it. I would love to know where it came from, but I’m just happy I had it.” For the record, the 34-year-old graphic designer from Southfield, Michigan got to pick between either Safety Without Power or Block A Vote, and she chose the former advantage.
The camera then cuts to Sol, who confesses to viewers, “I was the one who gave Rachel the advantage, and nobody knows about it. I’ve been playing this act out here that I’m kind of goofy, so people don’t know that I’m a really strategic guy … I gave the advantage to Rachel because she was, what I felt, in jeopardy — big, big trouble — at tribal council.” That’s when he brings up his “connection” with her and the idea of creating an alliance of “Sol’s Secret Agents.”
The eighth episode of “Survivor 47” is titled “He’s All That” and will air on Wednesday, November 6 on CBS. As of this writing, 11 people remain in the game, but only one of them will win the $1 million prize at the end of the season. Have YOU made your “Survivor” predictions yet?
