Fewer US Students Vaping, but Nicotine Pouch Use Stays Flat
E-cigarette use among middle- and high-school students declined from 8% in 2023 to 6% in 2024, dropping from an estimated 2.1 million to 1.6 million tweens and teens, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported. The researchers analyzed data from the 2024 National Youth Tobacco Use Survey, a self-administered, web-based survey conducted among nearly 30 000 middle-school and high-school students.
