Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Is on Giraffe-Feeding Duty — With the Cutest Toy Helper
Grace Warrior is taking to Australia Zoo duties like a fish to water — or like a giraffe to leaves. The 3-and-a-half-year-old just to “giraffe keeper” at the family’s zoo, and she is glowing with happiness in the cutest new pictures. Grace’s mom Bindi Irwin posted about the cool moment on Instagram and revealed the special toy helper that assisted Grace in getting the job done.
“Giraffe breakfast time,” Bindi wrote on Instagram Monday. “I will note that it’s important to feed giraffes with Donald Duck. ????????” In the first photo, the bright morning sun shines on Grace as she holds up a bundle of leaves next to a giraffe. She’s wearing a khaki bucket hat and a seat otter t-shirt as she smiles up at the huge giraffe nibbling on the leaves. In her other hand is a Donald Duck stuffie, wearing a yellow hat to protect him from the sun just like Grace is doing.
The next photo was taken from the back, where Grace leans forward to chew leaves. Another giraffe looks on from the background, waiting patiently for his turn, and it couldn’t be more adorable.
“Zarafa is our beautiful young giraffe who is definitely Grace’s buddy,” Bindi explained in the caption. “They are so sweet together. We are incredibly proud to be doing our part to protect this iconic species.”
Bindi’s mom Terri Irwin added in a comment, “’I am a giraffe keeper,’ said Grace.????” “Giraffe feeding level – expert! We love you, Grace! So cute. ????” the official Australia Zoo account commented.
“Just an unimaginable learning experience .. each day that goes by .. for young Grace .. ????????????” another wrote. Someone else said, “Donald Duck, What a wonderful assistant to have helping feed the ????????????”
Giraffes must have a special place in Grace’s heart, because she recently dressed up as one for Halloween. Grace-the-giraffe was giggly and cute in family photo next to her mom and her dad Chandler Powell.
“Grace the giraffe and her zookeepers here to wish you a happy #Halloween from @australiazoo!” Bindi captioned the photos. Her mom Terri commented, “It’s a huge responsibility to raise a baby giraffe!????”
In an interview with SheKnows earlier this year, Bindi said that Grace is basically in charge. “She is definitely the ruler of our universe,” she told us. “She is so wonderful because she’s such a kind and beautiful soul, while also having so much strength within her. She runs the zoo.”
