Kevin Cook wins Shawnee County District 2 race
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The race for Shawnee County's District 2 commissioner seat is over Tuesday.
Local election officials say the next Shawnee County District 2 commissioner will be Kevin Cook following the Nov. 5 General Election. He defeated Republican opponent Henry McClure in the election.
- McClure - 9,214
- Cook - 10,622
Cook was selected as the Democrat candidate for the race after he won his bid for the position in the August 2024 Kansas Primary Election. McClure put his name down as the Republican contender for the seat to run against Cook in the November General Election.
