Election night 2024: Wilson leads mayoral race

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- As of 9:30 p.m., election results show local businessman Keith Wilson leading all candidates in the Portland mayoral race with 63% of the vote (89,413 votes).

Portland City Commissioner Carmen Rubio is in second with 37% of the vote (52,701 votes). Commissioners Rene Gonzalez (42,204 votes) and Mingus Mapps (26,201 votes) have 26% and 16% of the vote, respectively.

More than 20 candidates are in the running for mayor of Portland after current Mayor Ted Wheeler announced in September of 2023 that he would not seek a third term.
