Tottenham interest in Midtjylland winger is ‘at an advanced stage’
Tottenham Hotspur are one of several sides who are eyeing a move for a Chilean wonderkid who is turning a lot of heads with his displays in Denmark.
Ange Postecoglou wants to add a winger to his squad
It has emerged that the Lilywhites are looking to bolster their attack in January, with Ange Postecoglou intent on signing a winger who can offer competition to Brennan Johnson on the right.
According to GiveMeSport, one player who has caught Spurs’ eye is Dario Osorio, who has developed impressively since his move to Midtjylland last year.
The 20-year-old’s wand of a left foot and his versatility allegedly make him an attractive option for the Lilywhites as they contemplate a move for him.
Tottenham now assessing Dario Osorio
The report explains that Spurs have sent scouts to Denmark on several occasions this season and are keeping close tabs on the winger’s progress.
They are now ‘refusing to rule out’ the possibility of luring Osorio to London in January after pinpointing him as a potential target.
The club’s technical director Johan Lange is currently said to be compiling detailed reports on the Chile international as Spurs contemplate whether he is ready to make an impact in the Premier League.
Is a January deal on the cards?
GiveMeSport say that Tottenham are not the only ones eying Osario, with the youngster also on the radars of Brentford, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Spurs’ interest is described in the report as being ‘at a more advanced stage’ at the moment, with the club ready to fight off competition for the attacker’s services.
However, the publication adds that a January move for Osario appears unlikely and that Tottenham might have to wait until next summer to get their man.
