First states called as results start to roll in
The first projections in Tuesday's election, calling Kentucky for Republican DonaldTrump and Vermont for Democrat Kamala Harris.
Multiple media outlets agreed that Harris carried Vermont, earning her three electoral votes, and Kentucky for Trump, giving him eight electoral votes.
The Associated Press and CNN called Indiana for Trump.
The results weren't a surprise — Vermont went to Joe Biden in 2020, and Kentucky and Indiana went for Trump.
