Jeremy Clarkson gives major health update after life-saving heart surgery as he’s pictured back at work
TELLY’S Jeremy Clarkson has told fans he is feeling “better than ever” — after being seen back at work just weeks after life-saving heart surgery.
Our exclusive snaps show Jezza at his country pub with his Clarkson’s Farm sidekick Kaleb Cooper.
The 64-year-old, who revealed he was days from death before surgery to clear blocked arteries, used a telehandler to shift logs before watching Kaleb, 26, as he dug a hole for a bonfire.
Clarkson, who was filming for the new series of Amazon Prime hit Clarkson’s Farm, was later mobbed as he got into his white F-Type Jag in the car park of The Farmer’s Dog near his Diddly Squat farm in the Cotswolds.
The smiling star told people: “I can’t do selfies here”. Asked how he was, he replied: “I’m fine thank you.”
One visitor told The Sun: “It was great to see him looking so well after what has happened. I was in the pub with my girlfriend and then we went out to the car park and spotted him.
“He was on a telehandler building a bonfire with Kaleb.
“Jeremy was shouting instructions to him and they were laughing and joking together like they do on TV. I later saw him at the farm shop and had a chat.
“We saw him as he came out followed by an Amazon crew.
“He seemed really cheerful.
“We asked about how he was feeling after the heart procedure and he said, ‘I’m feeling fine — better than ever’. I shook his hand and wished him well. And Jeremy said, ‘I’d like to stop and chat but I’ve got a busy day with loads to do’.”
The former Top Gear presenter had surgery after feeling unwell on holiday.
He has told how doctors ordered him to change his lifestyle, insisting: “I am not allowed to have fun anymore. I must live in a holier-than-though fog of weeds, seeds and yoga. This is terrifying.”
But Jezza went on: “When the Grim Reaper poked his nose round the door, I decided that actually, I quite fancied living a little bit longer.
“I want to see my grandchildren grow up. I saw the dawn this morning and it was magnificent so I’d quite like to see a few more of those too.
“Also, I still want to visit the Galapagos Islands. To achieve this, I must live on water and steamed fish and exercise.”
