How to watch Spurs vs Galatasaray in the Europa League
Spurs are back in Europa League action this week with a huge clash against Galatasaray on the horizon, but how can we watch the game on Thursday evening?
Galatasaray vs Tottenham
Ange Postecoglou‘s Spurs side will be keen to maintain their 100% record in the Europa League, but they face their sternest test yet in the form of Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Lilywhites have won all three games so far, beating Qarabag, Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar. However, Galatasaray are unbeaten, too, with two wins and a draw to their name.
Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming fixture, including which players are available, where you can watch the game, and what we think the score will be.
How to watch Spurs vs Galatasaray
You can catch the game live on TNT Sports 1, via Discovery+, as long as you are a customer of the services.
Coverage starts at 5:00 PM (GMT), with plenty of pre-match build-up, and the show runs through to 7:45 PM (GMT), at which point the later kick-offs for the day will begin.
When and where is the match?
Spurs will travel to Turkey to play Galatasaray at their ground, RAMS Park. The game takes place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, with a 5:45 PM (GMT) kick-off scheduled.
Postecoglou’s men will face a hostile and heated atmosphere at RAMS Park, as the Turkish side are known for having highly passionate supporters who like to get behind their team very vocally.
Spurs team news ahead of Galatasaray game
Tottenham could be without five players for the game against Galatasaray, with both Cristian Romero and Richarlison joining the injury list after the game against Aston Villa at the weekend.
Wilson Odobert is the main long-term injury issue for Spurs. The youngster had recovered from a hamstring injury but, after featuring briefly against AZ Alkmaar on the last matchday, he suffered a substantial setback.
Micky van de Ven is a huge loss, with the Dutchman also feeling tightness in his hamstring during the Carabao Cup clash with Man City last week. He is expected to be out until after the international break.
Romero and Richarlison both left the field of play on Sunday with issues. The former took a knock to his foot or ankle, while Richarlison, who had only just come on as a substitute, was forced off with another hamstring strain.
Meanwhile, Djed Spence is still recovering from his groin issue, but is not registered in the Europa League squad anyway.
With both first-choice centre-backs out, we can almost certainly expect to see Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies in the heart of defence.
A point would be huge for Tottenham in Turkey
Of course, we want to win every single game in this league phase and qualify in style, but the fact of the matter is, this trip to Galatasaray is one of the toughest challenges Spurs could face in this competition. Hopefully, the Lilywhites have enough to endure the atmosphere there.
I would not be surprised to see Spurs come away from this with nothing, but I’m going to stay relatively positive and back them to grab a score draw. Galatasaray 1-1 Tottenham.
