Indian billionaire and IndiGo co-founder Rakesh Gangwal has been appointed Chairman of Southwest Airlines. Gangwal, who recently invested USD 108 million in Southwest, takes the helm following the airline's settlement with Elliott Investment Management. His focus will be collaborating with the management team to enhance the airline's financial performance.
