Since current BCCI secretary Jay Shah is going to step down from his position to become the new ICC Chairman, Rohan Jaitley has come out to be the front runner to take over his position as the new secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Jay Shah began his career in cricket administration in 2009 with the Gujarat Cricket Association, and has been the secretary of the BCCI since 2019.

Jay Shah is going to take over the role of the ICC Chairman from December 1, leaving a vacant spot for someone to take over as BCCI secretary.

It has come out that the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association, Anil Patel, and the current president of the Delhi Cricket body, Rohan Jaitley, will be going to run for the position of secretary.

It has come out that there will not be any Special General Meeting (SGM) held to discuss the appointment of the secretary.

When comparing these two contenders, it has come out that Rohan is being taken in as more favourable.
