Cold callers

Moved in to this house earlier this year and have been getting a lot of cold callers - energy companies trying to get me on a new tariff, charities asking for money and the like. Previous owner was an elderly lady and I’m worried the door knockers took the piss and signed her up to all sorts of marketing things and they don’t realise she no longer lives here.

I do tell them to piss off but it’s getting annoying answering the door when you’re expecting someone and it’s some div from Scottish Power asking about your energy usage.

Is there something I can sign up for to stop these people coming to my house, a bit like you can with the nuisance phone calls?

I’m going to hang a ‘beware of the XL bully’ sign to the door in the meantime
