‘They look good together’, Shikhar Dhawan seen with mystery woman after divorce with Ayesha Mukherjee
New Delhi: Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who retired earlier this year, has been spotted at the airport alongside a mystery woman, sparking curiosity among fans. In a viral video, Dhawan can be seen arriving with the unidentified companion, prompting speculation about his dating life. While the clip has caught the attention of his followers, the identity of the woman remains unknown.
In the video, shared by several accounts on Instagram, Dhawan can be seen dressed in a blue T-shirt, black cargo pants and a blue jacket. He also posed for the paparazzi at the Mumbai airport. Dhawan was also seen enquiring about the well-being of the shutterbugs. However, the mystery girl in the video could be noticed constantly shying away from the camera. She also tried her best not to come in the same frame as Dhawan. Few minutes later, the duo made their way inside the airport, in the company of two others.
The clip has piqued the interest of numerous users, who are now speculating and expressing curiosity about the identity of the woman accompanying Shikhar Dhawan.
“Who is she,” asked one user. Another fan commented expressed her love for ‘Gabbar’, saying, “Zero haters Shikhar Dhawan, we will miss him in this IPL.”
“They look good together,” wrote one user. While several other fans dropped heart emojis on the post.
In October 2023, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was granted a divorce from his estranged wife, Aesha Mukerji. The court ruled in Dhawan’s favor, citing mental cruelty as the basis for the divorce. Judge Harish Kumar concluded that Mukerji had caused Dhawan emotional distress by keeping him separated from their son, Zorawar, for extended periods.
Shikhar Dhawan, the left-handed batter, announced his retirement in August 2024, closing his international career with an impressive 10,867 runs across 269 appearances, including 24 centuries and 44 fifties. Known as India’s go-to player in ICC tournaments, Dhawan stood out as India’s highest run-scorer in the 2015 World Cup, amassing 412 runs in eight matches at an average of 51.50.
In August 2023, Shikhar Dhawan expressed surprise over his exclusion from the Asian Games squad. He later played five matches for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024 season before an injury sidelined him. Following his injury, Sam Curran took over as captain of the franchise. In his five appearances, Dhawan scored 152 runs at an average of 30.40.
