A BEAUTY lover has listed the haircare buys that cured her thin and brittle tresses, including a viral oil you can snap up for just £6.

We all love to look our best, which sometimes means giving your mane a chic blow-out or using a curling wand for some extra volume.

However, although it may not be noticeable right away, but using heat and styling products on your tresses can damage the hair after some time.

Harsh chemical treatments, such as dyes, relaxants, perms and bleaching, can also cause the hair strands to become weaker, leading to hair loss.

But although the high street is bursting with what feels like hundreds of different solutions to tackle the issue, sometimes it may feel overwhelming to know what’s worth your money – and what to steer clear of.

Luckily, one woman, Danni Benattar (@dannibenattar) has come to rescue, offering a helping hand and taking to TikTok to spill the beans on how transformed her locks.

According to the young brunette beauty, she had ruined her tresses by bleaching and had lost all hope and patience in hopes to fix the mess.

”My hair was literally gone,” she said in a recent video, sharing snaps of the brittle hair strands that had visibly begun to thin around the ends.

Fortunately, the make-up lover discovered several popular products that gave the tresses some much-needed TLC – and after consistent use, the young woman started to notice the difference.

Amongst the top game-changers she now swears by is rosemary oil, which Danni uses one to two times a week ”without fail”.

”I don’t dilute it, just straight onto the root and comb to ends,” she explained the simple and foolproof process in the clip.

The secret oil, which almost everyone seems to be raving about these days, has become somewhat of a TikTok sensation, with bold claims that it boasts hair growth.

The beauty buy, which sells at Boots, ”may support circulation, which may prevent hair follicles from being starved of blood supply, dying off, and leading to hair loss”, experts at Healthline reported.

On top of stimulating hair growth, some people use the essential oil to prevent premature greying and even improve dandruff.

The popular beauty retailer Boots offers the cult-favourite oil for one of the lowest prices in the market and their Rosemary Oil will set you back just £6 for a 48ml bottle.

The viral product promises ”to nourish and promote a healthy shine leaving hair feeling smoother” and all shoppers need to do is massage a few drops of the conditioning oil into the scalp – or into wet or dry tresses whilst styling.

Everything you need to know about hair loss

Marie Nieuwoudt, a Group Education Manager at CLOUD NINE told Fabulous everything you need to know regarding hair loss.

What are the common causes of hair loss?

Marie explained: “There are so many reasons why someone may face hair loss.

“The number one reason is usually hormonal changes or underlying health conditions (like thyroid conditions), and stress of
course also plays a big part in changes to your hair health.

“But another very common day-to-day cause is excessive damage to your hair created by mistakes in your styling routines – and this a
big one to be aware of for people who are regularly applying heat to their hair!

“It’s important to know the right temperature for your hair type when using styling tools, as this is essential in reducing unintentional heat damage.

“I also see a lot of people facing hair loss resulting from hereditary conditions, which are passed down from generation to generation.”

What are the best hairstyles people should try to reduce their hair loss?

According to Marie: “Less is more when it comes to hair loss! It’s important to be gentle with your hair, so a low-maintenance style that limits pulling on your scalp will be your best option.

“Putting your hair up in a tight ponytail or adding hair clips can cause stress points at the roots.

“Instead, try leaving your hair down, or out.

“You’re not limited in your options, but it pays to be intentional with your hair styling. Using tools which limit damage to your hair is vital.

“Discussing your concerns with a hairdresser or hair loss specialist is also a great way to find styles that suit your specific needs, whilst still making sure you look and feel your best.”

How long does it take for hair loss to stop?

If you’re itching to know when your hair will grow back, Marie confirmed: “Hair loss is a personal journey – and it’s different for everyone, so it’s very difficult to put exact timings on this process.

“Every head of hair is unique, and so too is your hair loss experience.

“As always, you can speak to a professional hairdresser or trichologist about your specific concerns and hair changes, and they’ll be able to help you manage those expectations.

“I can’t emphasise enough how important it is to be kind to your hair. Most people treat their hair quite roughly, and this is something you definitely want to avoid when dealing with hair loss in particular.

“Make sure you’re choosing products and styling routines that you know are good for your hair, rather than causing additional damage.”

With an impressive 4.7-star rating online, it’s easy to see why customers have been loving the purse-friendly bargain buy.

One delighted beauty buff said: ”I love this so much! it leaves my hair soft, silky and shiny.”

Another chimed in, writing: ”Smells really nice and spreads through wet hair well.

”Brought it to help grow out my short hair in the healthiest way possible.

”Can feel a bit greasy but a blow dry sorts it out. Only apply four drops and to the scalp is enough.”

A third penned: ”I bought the item a year. Easy smell and work as the description said about it.”

As well as using the viral rosemary oil, the stunner praised the celebrity-loved K18 Professional Molecular Repair Hair Mask (£70, 50ml bottle) and Hair Oil (£65, 30ml).

Hairstyles that are kind to your locks

  1. Loose Braids: Opt for loose, soft braids rather than tight ones to minimise tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
  2. Low Ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to avoid snagging.
  3. Messy Bun: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Avoid pulling your hair too tightly and use gentle hair ties.
  4. Soft Waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
  5. Half-Up, Half-Down: This style keeps some hair pulled back while leaving the rest down, reducing the strain on your scalp.
  6. Headbands and Scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
  7. Loose Plaits for Sleeping: Before bed, loosely plait your hair to prevent tangles and breakage overnight.

Another must-have she has since incorporated in the haircare routine is sticking to a silk bonnet and silk pillowcase when going to sleep.

Although forking out for a lush silk pillowcase may seem like a hefty investment, it’s one that’s worth it – according to experts, the soft material ”can help to combat frizzy hair and static electricity by reducing friction and maintaining the natural moisture balance of your hair”.

”This is especially good if you have dry or damaged hair, as it helps to seal the hair cuticle and prevent moisture loss, leading to smoother more manageable locks,” explained the gurus at Scooms.

Listing her top finds that have helped the hair makeover process, Danni was also raving about Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil (currently on sale for £46), Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Conditioner (£23), Redken Extreme Shampoo (£28) and Kérastase Genesis Serum Anti-Chute Fortifiant (£37).
