Rock Trophy retained by Greystones

The annual match between Greystones GC and our near neighbours Delgany GC. Some people would say there is no such thing as a friendly and your author would tend to agree.

The match was started in the 1960’s when according to our hosts today relationships were not great between the clubs. The teams were to be selected from members who had contributed to the club wether through committee or teams .

The annual match is played for the Rock Trophy and our Captain Mark McAleer give Paul Keane’s one more chance to select a winning team this year.

The competition was played as a fourball better ball with all 5 cards to count.

The team done the Captain proud and won by 7 points.
