Beautiful fall weekend, warm start to week
High pressure over the Northeast will provide another day of sunny skies and crisp autumn weather. Temperatures will be a little milder this afternoon, reaching the mid-60s, which is above normal for early November, after a cool morning in the 30s.
Tonight, it will be noticeably milder in a light southeasterly flow, with some high clouds drifting east from a disturbance in the Midwest.
Low pressure in the Plains will lift a warm front northward as high pressure lingers near the Eastern Seaboard. Some clouds will move in from time to time, with unseasonably warm weather and a southwesterly wind Monday. Afternoon temperatures will reach the mid-70s.
Election Day Tuesday will be breezy and warm, with record-challenging afternoon readings in the upper 70s. A cold front trailing a stronger area of low pressure in the Upper Midwest will bring showers overnight that will linger into early Wednesday.
Cooler and dry weather will return the second half of the week, although still a little above average in temperatures.
