FORECAST DISCUSSION:

The warming trend continues as highs will reach the upper 60s on Sunday. This is running close to 10 degrees above average for this time of year. Skies start off mostly clear in the morning, then increase throughout the day on Sunday. Most of Ohio will stay dry, but any chances for rain showers will be well north and closer to Lake Erie.

During the night skies will stay mostly cloudy. Winds will begin to pick up a bit from the southeast. Overnight low temperatures will fall to the low 50s. For the most part a calm night is expected.

Well above average temperatures stay through the start of the new work week. Under mostly cloudy skies highs will reach the mid 70s in Central Ohio. Winds will be gusty at times. There is a very small chance for a light spotty shower, but again most of the area will stay dry.

By Election Day Tuesday there will be increasing wind speeds with gusts over 30 mph at times. Highs Tuesday will return to the upper 70s, which already 20 degrees above average for this time of year. There is the chance to tie the record high as well. A cold front will bring rain shower chances by the overnight hours into Wednesday morning.
