'Hate the American people': Trump fires wild accusation at Harris as election closes in
Just days before Tuesday’s election, Donald Trump upped the ante on his opponent Kamala Harris Saturday, accusing her of having contempt for America’s population.
He also complained of repeated comparisons between himself and Adolf Hitler.
Before two scheduled MAGA rallies in North Carolina and another in Virginia, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to fire off a fresh attack.
It was partly focused on a gaffe this week by Joe Biden that was interpreted by the Trump camp as calling MAGA fans “garbage.”
"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters − his − his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American,” Biden had said.
He was referring to Trump’s comment that immigration had made America the “garbage can of the word,” and a line from a comedian at a Trump rally last weekend that called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”
The White House claimed an apostrophe was needed, and that the president was attacking the demonization of Latinos by Trump’s supporters. Trump, however, called it a direct attack on his fans, and reminded voters of Hillary Clinton’s referring to the MAGA crowd as deplorables in 2016.

He also took umbrage at Democrats’ jumping on an interview with his former Chief of Staff John Kelly in which he said his former boss “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist.”
On Saturday, Trump wrote, “Despite all the damage she has caused, Kamala has spent the final week of her campaign comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history. Then, Joe Biden called our supporters “GARBAGE.”
My response to Joe and Kamala is simple: you can’t LEAD America if you don’t LOVE Americans. And you can’t be president if you hate the American People.”
