Air monitor records pollution level in Lahore 40 times above WHO limit

Air pollution in Lahore has reached unprecedented levels, with the air quality index spiking at 1,067. The provincial environmental protection agency has imposed new restrictions to combat the smog, including bans on certain vehicles, construction, and open-fire cooking. Government and private sector employees will also begin working from home to reduce emissions.
