North West Pays Homage to Tyler, the Creator, H.E.R. and ‘Princess and the Frog’ With Halloween Costumes
North West had an active (and super stylish) Halloween, dressing as Tyler the Creator, H.E.R and Tiana from Disney’s “Princess and the Frog” for the occasion.
A young footwear enthusiast, the pre-teen has already curated her very own shoe style that has captured attention. For example, there is the pair of oversized Crocs made in collaboration with Balenciaga she wore alongside her mother, Kim Kardashian, in Paris for haute couture week in 2022. Those shoes featured a chunky platform and a silver nameplate on the front, in addition to other edgy silver detailing.
Then there’s the black Nike sneakers she wore alongside her mom to a Los Angeles Lakers home game in December 2023, which she teamed with yellow and black racing jacket and distressed jeans, proving that casual and punk-emo can also have a sporty look. Oh, and we definitely can’t forget the Dolce & Gabbana platform boots she donned at the Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards. Those boots consisted of a zipper along the upper and a silver DG logo on the front of the toe.
We can keep going on and on, but the point is that Ms. North West has an already epic style that she, once again, displayed on Halloween night.
Posting a clip to the tune of “Running Out of Time” by Tyler, the Creator, North paid homage to the artist’s 2019 blue suit and blonde bob look he wore in his “EARFQUAKE” music video from his album “IGOR,” putting her own twist on it with a miniskirt and sunglasses. She styled the look with a pair of platform metallic silver loafers, starkly similar to the ones the rapper wore in his music video.
Then, she paid tribute to Usher’s Superbowl performance this year by recreating H.E.R’s latex catsuit and guitar showing, while one of her friends played the part of Usher.
She also dressed as Tiana from Disney’s “Princess and the Frog,” while her friends took on the role of other Disney princesses such as Snow White and Moana.
One thing’s for sure, our Halloween wasn’t nearly as fun as North West’s.
