Trump booster quits Washington Post after livestream meltdown

0

Hugh Hewitt has quit the Washington Post, but his storming off has nothing to do with the paper's decision to withhold presidential endorsements.

In an exclusive report, the New York Post revealed that Hewitt was live on air with colleagues Jonathan Capehart and Ruth Marcus.

The moment was posted online by a DailyCaller writer and it shows what triggered the long-time conservative commentator.

The conversation was about Donald Trump's recent claims that states like Pennsylvania and Arizona are already "cheating."

Marcus said that it's clear Trump and the GOP are deploying a litigious strategy to winning the election, and an angry Hewitt accused Capehart and Marcus of overlooking the facts of the cases due to their liberal biases, which drew a rebuke from Capehart.

"I just don't appreciate being lectured to about reporting when so many times you come here with lots of things that are —" Capehart said before Hewitt cut him off.

"I won't come back!" Hewitt exclaimed. "I'm done! This is the most unfair election [inteligable] I'm ever been a part of. You guys are workin' that's fine. I'm done."

He tore out his earpiece and stormed off.
