Topeka police identify man killed in Little Russia neighborhood.

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka police have identified the victim of a recent homicide case in the Little Russia neighborhood.

Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said in a press release that police have identified the victim as Peter J. Blancas, 58, of Topeka. Investigators are continuing to look into the situation that brought about his death and are asking for the public to submit tips.

Police were called around 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 30 to the 500 block of Northeast Gordon Street on a medical call. After an initial investigation, they later declared a man had died due to a homicide. Blancas' death is being investigated as the 16th homicide case of 2024.
