Bruins-Hurricanes Projected Lines, Pairings: Boston Makes Major Changes
The Bruins hit the road for the start of a two-game trip on Thursday, meeting the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena.
Halloween will bring with it several changes for Boston.
“We are looking for players to take ownership of their game – and with splitting up that (Mark) Kastelic, (John) Beecher, (Cole) Koepke line, we want their work habits to rub off on their linemates,” Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said, per team-provided transcript.
Yes, Montgomery is splitting up his productive fourth line. Kastelic will move to right wing on a new top line alongside Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm. Beecher will skate with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak, and Matt Poitras will center Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau.
Max Jones slots back into the lineup next to Charlie Coyle and Koepke while Jeremy Swayman returns to the net.
The B’s and Canes are set to drop the puck at 7 p.m. ET, following an hour of pregame coverage on NESN.
