Emmerdale actor in massive onscreen blunder as fans ask ‘how was that not spotted?
EMMERDALE fans were left shocked after spotting a star’s big onscreen blunder.
Taking to social media, eagle-eyed viewers questioned how show bosses hadn’t noticed the mistake.
Observant Emmerdale fans spotted a huge blunder[/caption] Jonny McPherson began playing Dr Liam in 2014[/caption] Viewers saw Liam confess his feelings to Chas Dingle[/caption]In Thursday’s episode, Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) confessed to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) that he has feelings for her.
Fans watching could see actor Jonny was wearing his ITV lanyard in the scene.
The passes, used for security or to gain access to the buildings, are routinely worn by the cast and crew off camera.
A fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Obsessed with Dr Liam wearing his ITV-branded lanyard.”
Another added: “I bet actors forgot to take it off.”
A third commented: “How is this stuff not spotted.”
While a fourth simply wrote: “Great spot.”
Chas told Liam he needed to make a choice between her and Ella (Paula Lane).
In January, Jonny, 42, marked a decade since Liam’s first appearance on the ITV soap.
After recurring for a few years, the character joined the main cast from July 2018 onwards.
This is not the first time such a blunder has happened in an ITV soap.
Fans were amused after noticing a similar error during a 2021 Coronation Street episode.
They spotted Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) wearing an ITV pass on camera.
The scene in question saw Shona bicker with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
