Violence erupts in Karnataka village over fear of Waqf Board taking property

Tension erupted in Karnataka's Haveri district when villagers attacked buildings and houses over fears that the Waqf Board would seize their property. Five people were injured. Police deployed 200 personnel to restore order and detained 32 people for investigation. Waqf minister and local MPs have assured that the land would not be acquired.
