Wedding invitation cards are important in setting the mood for celebrations. Traditionally, the first invitation, known as the “yellow letter,” is sent from the bride’s family to the groom’s. While most families use printed paper invitations, one creative bullion trader in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, is changing this tradition with luxurious gold and silver wedding cards that have gained a lot of attention.

Lucky Jindal, who runs the Lala Ravindra Nath Kanhaiya Lal Sarafa shop at Agra Gate in Firozabad, spoke exclusively to Local 18 and said, “In weddings, people print invitation cards, but they often do not recognize their value and end up discarding them. Especially when a relationship is finalized, people print an invitation card in the form of a yellow letter, which is sent to the groom’s family, and they throw it away. However, this shouldn’t be the case. These invitation cards should always be kept carefully, as the yellow letter is meant to be a cherished keepsake.”

Jindal stressed that the yellow letter, which is an important part of the marriage tradition, deserves to be treated with respect and preserved.

According to a report in news18.com, Jindal’s shop has started creating stunning wedding invitations that blend beauty and luxury. Featuring intricate designs made of gold and silver, these cards are quickly becoming popular among couples who want to make a memorable impression. The invitations are beautifully inscribed with gold or silver lettering, adding to their charm.

For the first time in Firozabad, wedding cards are being made from gold and silver. These cards feature frames crafted from these precious metals, allowing customers to print invitations just like traditional wedding cards. Shopkeeper Lucky Jindal stated that the prices for these wedding cards range from Rs. 10,000 to an astonishing Rs. 11 lakh. He added, “People can contact us to create the type of invitation card they want. Each card is meticulously crafted from pure gold and silver, with quality checks performed by machines. As the wedding season approaches, we have already started receiving orders for these invitation cards.”

Note, At Rs 11 lakh, this is easily one of the most expensive cards made in India so far.

“We’re getting requests for a variety of designs, and the demand for these high-end cards is increasing rapidly,” he was quoted as saying by the publication. “People want something unique that reflects their personal style and the importance of the event.”
