According to a report by Cricbuzz, Mumbai Indians are all set to retain Rohit Sharma. This is despite heavy rumours that he would leave the franchise after a reported fallout with te team management after Hardik Pandya replaced him as the captain. Pandya, being the skipper, is also set to be retained by the five-time IPL winners. He would hope to lead the franchise to a much better finish than what they did last season.

Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah are the two other Team India superstars who will be retained by the record IPL champions. On the other hand, Tilak Varma is also set to be their fifth capped retention ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. For the uncapped slot, MI is set to retain Naman Dhir.
