‘The Universe Boss’: Chris Gayle takes a spin in Rolls Royce whose number plate is costlier than car
New Delhi: West Indies’ legendary cricketer was part of International cricket for the West Indies from 1999 to 2021. The powerful batter is known for his gameplay in the T20 format and he is often called the greatest batter to have played T20 cricket. We generally talk about many famous cricketers like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, etc who live a lavish lifestyle in their life, Chris Gayle also leads a lavish lifestyle. The cricketer has now shared a few pictures online where he is seen with a Rolls Royce, which has a number plate costlier than the car itself.
Recently, The Universe Boss Chris Gayle shared images and videos on his social media (Instagram) handle. Talking about those images, they were giving the vibes of Chris Gayle’s lavish lifestyle as the legendary cricketer was sitting in front of the Rolls Royce Ghost luxury car. The car is finished in a white and turquoise shade. The interior of the car is also finished in the same turquoise shade as the exterior.
It is worth mentioning that Rolls-Royce cars are extremely expensive and are known as the epitome of luxury in automobiles. The customization options in these cars are what make them even more expensive. In India, we have seen people spend lakhs on registration numbers.
Talking about the car in which Chris Gayle went for a spin, has a registration number “9”, which is incredibly expensive to acquire. Single-digit registrations are extremely costly in Dubai, and in the past, we have come across videos where people have revealed the amount spent on such registration numbers. Chris Gayle posted the video with the caption, “I’m in the top 10 in Dubai – do the maths if you know numbers! #UniverseBoss my driver is a legend.”
Looking at the car and number plate, we are not sure if the car belongs to Chris Gayle or it is owned by a friend. We see the registration number F9 on the Rolls Royce’s number plate. In the past, we have come across a video where a Bugatti Chiron owner from Dubai spent around $7,000,000, which roughly translates into Rs 52 crores, on the registration number.
if we move forward toward the car’s details then the Rolls Royce Ghost seen here is probably the Series II luxury sedan. Rolls-Royce cars are a common sight in a city like Dubai. So, to differentiate from the crowd, people often opt for such expensive registration numbers. The Rolls Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine that generates 563 Bhp and 900 Nm of peak torque.
In India, many famous celebrities and businessmen own Rolls-Royce cars. Most of them opt for fancy numbers and even pay a premium to obtain such numbers. However, no one in India has paid more than the actual price of the car just for the registration of such expensive cars.
