Okeene Public Schools announce Thursday school closure due to damage from storms

OKEENE, Okla. (KFOR) — On Wednesday night, Okeene Public Schools officials announced that there will be no school on Thursday, October 31, due to significant electrical damages from Wednesdays storm.

Officials say both Senior Night and Thursday's football game will still happen as originally scheduled. Anyone who wants to attend the pep rally, it will still be held at the new gym at 2:30 p.m.

Okeene Public School officials say if damages are not fixed by Friday, both students and staff should prepare for a virtual day.
