Two teens arrested for stealing and carrying a knife in Paphos
Two teens, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on Wednesday in Paphos to facilitate investigations in connection with conspiracy to commit a crime, theft and carrying a knife.
Police were informed at 5.10pm on Wednesday that two teens in a shop at the Kings Avenue Mall in Paphos were suspected of stealing clothing and had been kept there by the store owner.
According to the police, the two suspects were of Arab origin.
The 16-year-old was found with a tracksuit and a pair of shoes – belonging to the shop – in his possession, while the 15-year-old was found to be in possession of an 8.5cm blade.
The teens were arrested, charged in writing and released.
Due to their age, the case file will be submitted to the Law Office to decide whether they will be criminally prosecuted.
