Grand Central Bakery issues recall for U-Bake pie, dough products
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Grand Central is recalling its 'U-Bake' frozen pie and frozen dough products sold in Portland and Seattle since they may contain traces of undeclared egg, the FDA announced Saturday.
The recall was initiated by Grand Central after they said an employee found egg was added to the products and the packaging did not list it on their ingredients before distribution.
"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product," the company cautioned.
The affected products include their U-Bake Pie Crust, U-Bake Apple Pie, U-Bake Marionberry Pie, and U-Bake Chicken Pot Pie.
According to the bakery, all of the products have expiration dates from Feb. 1, 2025 to Apr. 20, 2025. Additionally, they were all sold between Aug.1, 2024, and Oct. 20, 2024.
Customers who purchased any of the affected products are asked to contact Grand Central Bakery's support team at retailfeedback@grandcentralbakery.com or use the website's contact page to receive a refund.
The company added that, to date, no illnesses have been reported.
