Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight’s matchup here.

The Golden State Warriors will host the Los Angeles Clippers for their Sunday night home opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

Golden State is riding high after a 127-86 blowout win over the Utah Jazz on Friday night. The Warriors move to 2-0 to start the season, dominating with back-to-back wins of 35 points or more thanks to a lethal combination of stifling defense and elite three-point shooting.

One standout from Friday’s win was Buddy Hield, who led all scorers with 27 points in just 20 minutes off the bench. He shot an impressive 10-of-14 from the field including 7-of-9 from deep as he continues to prove his value as one the team’s best offseason acquisition.

What to watch for tonight:

The Warriors’ success has been fueled by a deep 12-man rotation. Head coach Steve Kerr’s commitment to playing a deeper bench has paid dividends, keeping legs fresh and players ready for high-intensity minutes on both ends of the court.

The results have been stellar: the Warriors lead the league in scoring at 133.5 points per game, rank second in three-point attempts per game at 49.0, and place top three in pace (3rd), offensive rating (2nd), defensive rating (2nd), and net rating (1st).

While the Warriors’ depth is thriving, one area the team could improve is the starting lineup. Spacing issues have challenged the unit’s cohesion, particularly for Jonathan Kuminga, who is still trying to find his role alongside Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Despite the fit concerns, Kerr and Green have expressed confidence in the lineup’s potential and remain committed to giving it time to gel.
