She took to TikTok to share the “powerful drink” that is her “secret to healthy skin at 41”.

Narrating over the video while showcasing her youthful glow, Ranavat says: “This powerful skin drink is my secret to healthy skin at 41.”

In the video, she stands next to her mum in the kitchen as they demonstrate how to make the drink.

She says: “This drink is packed with antioxidants that keep your skin looking young and help fight infections.

“My mum drinks this every morning, and while I was at home, I tried it for myself.”

The video shows them squeezing half a lemon or lime and pouring it into a glass.

She then adds “some cinnamon for its antibacterial properties, and some turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties.”

Ranavat continues: “It also helps brighten the skin as well. Add in a heaping spoon of Manuka honey for its detoxification properties.

“I forgot to show a pinch of black pepper to activate the turmeric.

“Now pour some warm water, not hot, to combine this mixture.”

She concludes: “Drink this once every morning for increased energy levels, and you’ll notice that your skin will look so much more glowy too.

“Let me know if you’ll try this and follow for more.”

Her video gained lots of attention, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “41? You look 25.” Another added: “I swear turmeric has single-handedly carried the South Asian subcontinent,”

To which Ranavat replied: “True story.”

A third said: “I make this drink with added ginger too, never had to take antibiotics since.”

Someone else added: “Manuka honey is great. Great anti-inflammatory ingredients.”

Why is turmeric good for anti-ageing?

A study published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that turmeric and curcumin may help prevent DNA damage and aid in DNA repair.

This is promising news for disease prevention and slowing the ageing process. It also:

Boosts Collagen Production: Collagen is a protein that maintains the skin’s elasticity and firmness. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin. Turmeric helps stimulate collagen synthesis, thereby promoting firmer and more youthful skin.

Improves Skin Health: Turmeric has been shown to improve various skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help soothe the skin, reduce redness, and promote a clearer complexion.
