LASPARK HOSTS FELLOWS OF LJLA TO INSIGHTFUL “BROWN BAG SERIES” SESSION
On Friday, the 25th of October 2024, the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) welcomed fellows from the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) to an engaging “Brown Bag Series” session at one of its beautiful gardens on Lagos Island, the RF Garden.
Led by the Executive Secretary of the Academy, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, the Fellows, who are currently posted to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) within the state civil service, gained valuable insights into LASPARK’s mandates and activities.
The interactive session featured a Question and Answer segment with the General Manager of LASPARK, Mrs. Adetoun Popoola, during which topics such as beautification, landscaping, tree planting, pruning, and the Agency’s regulatory framework were thoroughly discussed. Popoola also gave valuable success tips as she dedicated part of the session to mentorship and career advice for young professionals.
The Fellows left, well-informed and inspired, with a deeper understanding of LASPARK’s role in promoting a Greener, Healthier Lagos while they equally gained insight about diligence and other qualities required for career growth, leveraging the experience of a mentor.
