Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries Arrested for 'Sex Trafficking & Interstate Prostitution'
Mike Jeffries, who is the former CEO of the popular clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch, has been arrested on “sex trafficking and interstate prostitution charges,” NBC News reports.
His partner, Matthew Smith, as well as a man named James Jacobson were also arrested, according to the report.
According to the BBC, allegations include that men were abused at events that were hosted by him at his home in New York, as well as at hotels across the world.
His lawyer said of the allegations, “We will respond in detail to the allegations after the Indictment is unsealed, and when appropriate, but plan to do so in the courthouse – not the media.”
He acted as the brand’s CEO from 1992 to 2014.
A press conference is planned for later today, and more details are expected.
