News and Notes: Dodgers and Yankees are in the World Series
News and Notes for Monday, October 21st, 2024
The Yankees and Dodgers will meet in the World Series, making MLB's dreams come true.
Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and a bunch of faceless bullpen pitchers will decide the title.
It's interesting to think that this matchup is grsat for MLB, and maybe a repeat would be fine, but if two top five payroll teams face off three years in a row, if would become an existential crisis. I dont THINK that will happen but now that pretty much every team has a top shelf analytics team... it's possible.
I hold no resentment against owners who spend money on their teams, however. Good for them. Cleveland's owners should learn from their example.
