KU shows off renovated Allen Fieldhouse during 40th Late Night in the Phog.

LAWRENCE (KSNT) - Students at the University of Kansas got to check out the newly renovated Allen Fieldhouse during this year's Late Night in the Phog celebrations.

The kickoff ceremony for both the men's and women's KU basketball teams came this past weekend on Oct. 18. Students and alumni were able to take a look at the teams for a pre-season scrimmage inside of Allen Fieldhouse and watch a performance by rapper Lil John.

"The arena is great," KU men's Head Basketball Coach Bill Self said. "I don't know that pictures actually do it justice."

Both the men's and women's basketball teams will be playing games inside Allen Fieldhouse in the coming days. KU's men's basketball team will face off against Washburn University at 7 p.m. on Oct. 29 while the women's team will play against WU at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 1.
