Gunshots rip through home, wounding woman in East Garfield Park

A woman was wounded in a shooting in East Garfield Park on Monday night, Chicago police said.

The woman, 41, was inside a residence in the 300 block of South Christiana Avenue at 8:25 p.m. when bullets came through the wall and hit her in the head, police said. She was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

No one is in custody.
